I used to strictly be a lip gloss kind of gal, but over the years lipstick has truly grown on me. I started off with nude colors then moved into colors that stood out a little more. I keep it pretty plan during spring and summer but love to kick it up a notch when fall rolls around. I see fall as lipstick season to be honest. You can wear deep colors year around but there's something about wearing a deep wine colored lip in the fall that just makes everything feel right! I'm still experimenting with different lip colors but I'm definitely ready to branch out even more this fall season. I'm especially excited to rock some berry and plum colors lip. Check out some of the other lipsticks I'll be wearing this season. What colors are you going to try?
I wanted to pick a few sheer and shimmery colors for the season and this one provided both. This is perfect for days where I want to complete my look without a bold color. It's a little more pink than I expected, but I really love how subtle it is.
I LOVE this lipstick for everyday looks. It gives me a nice subtle tint and shine. This was the first lipstick I purchased for the season and it has been used pretty much everyday since. I also like to add a little lip liner to take it to the next level sometimes. It's a great product to build on and lasts a long time.
Moving out of the sheer lipsticks and into the metallics. When I first started looking for new colors I knew I wanted to have something metallic and something orange...then I found Glow! I've never been big on metallic colors on my lips but I figured hey, metallic is in right now and I was ready for something new. I can't wear this one daily but it's still one of my favs! Great shine and moisture and the company even sent me a complimentary lipstick! I look forward to trying some of their other colors down the line.
This is what all the beauty buffs have been waiting for! I missed the first wave but snagged this color as soon as it was back in stock. Unfortunately, this color is out of stock again but there are a few shades that are still available. This color alone deserves its own post. I have no complaints about this lipstick and it was well worth the wait. It's Pat McGrath so I knew it would be amazing. It's sexy, subtle, lasts long, moisturizes, and is absolutely beautiful! I hate to see this limited edition item go away.
I had high hopes for this one since it's purple, but it's not my favorite of the bunch. It made the list based on color alone. When I first tried it I was not feeling how transparent is was. It was supposed to be a cream matte but went on differently than ones I've used in the past. After another try and some different application methods it really grew on me. This is another color for rare occasions but it's one I look forward to wearing throughout the season.
The description of this lip color mentioned the move The Craft so of course I bought it! It also reminded me of the lip colors the stars wore in the early 90's. I really like this color a lot! I like to wear my darkest colors on days when I really don't want to be bothered. This is my new go to lipstick for those days. My only issue is that the lipstick goes down A LOT after every use. I think it's just a really soft and creamy formula, which is great for application purposes, but I don't know how many wears I'll get from one tube.
Before I bought Venom 2 this was my absolute favorite! It's the perfect deep chocolate brown matte color. Everything about this product is perfect. From the perfectly designed applicator to the long lasting formula. The minute I put it on in Sephora I knew I had to have it and add it to the list. I have to make sure to moisturize and prime my lips beforehand because this matte is serious! With just the lipstick alone my lips would dry and crack. Other than that this is one lipstick that I'll purchase again and again and probably buy some other colors while I'm at it.
